Christjan Ladurner

Christjan Ladurner was born in Innsbruck, Austria in 1961. Raised in South Tyrol in the northern part of Italy he now passes his time as a photographer, writer and mountain guide. He resides in South Tyrol over the summer and spends the winter months guiding in Canada. His accomplishments as an aerial photographer include publishing the photo gallery works “König Ortler” and “Die Zukunft der Alpen” together with Reinhold Messner. Christjan has published twenty books. His latest creation is the photo gallery “Südtirol - Dolomiten - Gardasee”. At the moment he is working on a photographic documentation on the mountain farmers in South Tyrol in conjunction with the renowned journalist Florian Kronbichler who is a member of the Italian parliament for the green party.

Christjan also designs and builds high ropes courses in tree canopies and his accomplishments in this area include the Rocky Mountain Ropes Course in Canmore, Canada, as well as the Taser ropes course in South Tyrol, Italy.

He also creates limited edition and custom ordered big prints of mountains and landscapes. The big prints, which are sold and shipped around the world, are individually framed with custom metal frames designed and constructed by a local craftsman specializing in metal art work.
