MOUNTAIN AND SKI GUIDE – CHRISTJAN LADURNER

There were vast glaciers and towering ice walls during my mountain guide training. Today, much of that has vanished, melted away by global warming. Each year, the permafrost line creeps higher, and with it comes an increase in the frequency and size of rockfalls.

Because of these changes, I’ve chosen to step back from leading long, high alpine tours. But my passion for the mountains remains strong. I now focus on guiding via ferrata routes, exploring the remaining glaciers, leading e-bike adventures, and taking clients on ski tours.

​One of the greatest joys of my work is sharing these experiences with families and children and helping them discover the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains in a way that’s safe, accessible, and unforgettable.
